Roof shell
The roof shell of the SCA 292 is manufactured using the manual laminate process. This manufacturing method is not automated, but a manual process. In this process, glass fibre mats are impregnated with plastic resin and then rolled by hand in several layers into a structural form. The standard colour is white - other colours can easily be painted ex works on request. The soft crumpled velour on the inside of the roof creates a cosy ambience in the reclining area.

Fabric bellows and window
The fabric bellows is made of breathable cotton fabric and has two side windows and one front window. Ventilation is guaranteed by the left and front windows, which have fly screens to prevent unwelcome mosquitoes from entering. Those who are not afraid of insects can open the front window completely. If a more extensive large-area exposure and view is desired, the optional panorama fabric bellows replaces the standard fabric bellows. Of course, this also has fly screens. However, these cannot be opened here.

Lying surface
As always with SCA, the mattress of the lying surface consists of high-quality foam and rests on a lying board. For greater comfort when sleeping, this is equipped with disc springs. These also ensure the best possible ventilation and a warm bed in winter for vehicles with auxiliary heating. A panel that can be pulled out of the lying surface closes the access hatch and thus separates the space from the rest of the vehicle when driving. If you fold the lying surface upwards, you can comfortably stand upright in the bus.

Closure system
The folding mechanism sewn into the fabric bellows ensures that the roof can be opened and closed easily without pinching or damaging the fabric bellows. The pop-up roof can be locked with rotary latch locks. The operating lever for the practical central locking system is located above the cab seats in the area of the rear-view mirror.
